Two-Weeks In Thailand For: The Partygoer

Rather than sticking to the classic bars, why not take a party journey through Thailand? You can begin your journey from Bangkok to the south or you can wait until you return to Bangkok for an after party if the party bus has not worn you out yet. After looking into all the festivals happening in Thailand, the best time for this epic festival crawl would be in December. It’s all about timing your two weeks right and planning your itinerary as you hop from one party area to the next. Take a look at the itinerary we have lined up so you can plan your next Christmas holidays. This is how to spend two weeks in Thailand for party goers.

Being the center of the backpacker universe where the streets are alive late at night and the cocktail buckets are endless, this is where the party begins or ends. Spend the evening walking around the streets of Khao San and Rambuttri, stopping at pubs to get a top up and mingle with fellow travelers. In between your pub crawl, you can do a bit of shopping as both streets are filled with stalls and vendors with croaking wooden frogs and selfie sticks. Once it gets late, take the party spirit inside one of Khao San Road’s clubs: The Club, The Superflow City Beach Club, or the Brick Bar.

Happening in early December, you may be able to swing by this festival before Wonderfruit. In a stunning location surrounded by mountains, sample the local music scene by going through the nine stages of the Big Mountain Festival where both local and featured international artists perform a huge range of music from pop and rock to folk and country. Held in the Kaeng Krachan Country Club in Phetchaburi, you have enough time to hop on a bus to get to Pattaya.

With the Wonderfruit in mid-December and the Full Moon Party usually after the 20th of December, time your visit right and you can have a more epic party crawl from Pattaya’s Wonderfruit to Koh Phangan’s Full Moon Party and other lesser moon parties. With an epic combination of great music, eye-popping art installations, delicious food, and interesting workshops, you will be in amazing spirits during this 4-day festival. From Pattaya, you can get to Koh Phangan via plane, taxi, or bus to continue your party.

Time your trip just right and head to Koh Phangan for the Full Moon Party where an extensive range of music is played by both local and international DJs along the 800-meter beach of Haad Rin. With 12 powerful sound systems and 30,000 party goers, this is a party that will booming all night long. Well, the actual rave begins at 10 PM. Just pay the 100THB fee, get yourself a 300THB bucket, get yourself painted and dance until the sun rises.

If you have more energy to spend, you can also join the Jungle Party, the Waterfall Party, the Half Moon party, which happens twice a month, before and after the Full Moon Party, you can definitely spend most of your two weeks partying Koh Phangan. And, if you begin your partying during the Full Moon, you can also end your party vacation with the Black Moon.

If you are looking into spending two weeks in Thailand next year and you are looking for a good party vacation, then December is the best time for it. Check your dates, create your own party itinerary, and choose your own party adventure.
