SEAFOOD MARKET (BANGKOK)

The Seafood Market in Bangkok which professes to have anything that swims is the best place to go for a seafood binge. With their huge menu, speedy service, and good value offerings, you are bound to spend your evening chowing down on all the seafood it has to offer. Make sure to put the stir-fried crab on top of the list of things to order as it is absolutely divine.

SOMBOON SEAFOOD RESTAURANT (BANGKOK)

Khwaeng Nong Bon, Khet Prawet, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon, Bangkok, Thailand

A seafood restaurant that is so famous several fake versions of it have been created to scam unsuspecting tourists, Somboon Seafood Restaurant is known for its delicious dishes served in enormous portions. With over seven different locations to choose from, make sure to avoid its wannabe counterparts like Somboondee or Somboon D. And, when you are seated in one of the real Somboon Seafood restaurants in Bangkok, make sure to order their fabulous fried curry crab. You will definitely order a second round. This is known.

LAEM SAK SEAFOOD (KRABI)

Laem Sak Pier, Ao Luk

The Laem Sak Seafood Restaurant got its name from the pier on which it is located. 30 kilometres away from Krabi, the trip to this well-known fishing port is well worth the hassle as this is the best place to sample the fresh daily local catch from black mud crabs, pu dam, to oysters, squids and a great assortment of fish.

KRUA THARA / THARA KITCHEN (KRABI)

Next to National Park HQ, Nopparat Thara

Conveniently located in Ao Nang, this is the best placd to go if you do not feel like travelling far to get some seafood. A seafood strip on Nopparat Thara Beach, it follows the rule of thumb that you get the best dishes when you eat where the Thais eat. Their selection of shellfish is recommended. Have it stir-fried with basis and chili or eat it like a Krabi local by having it steamed.

FISHERMAN’S RESTAURANT & BAR (KOH PHANGAN)

The best restaurant in Koh Phangan according to Trip Advisor, Fisherman’s Restaurant has a wide array of fresh seafood that is cooked to perfection whether they are sauteed in Thai sauces or grilled. Make sure to book well in advance and score one of the 3 Thai longtail boats just to add an edge to your dining experience. Then, order their crab curry, a family secret passed on generations that you won’t taste anywhere else.

NONG M SEAFOOD (KOH PHANGAN)

Tambon, Ko Pha-ngan, Ko Pha-ngan District, Surat Thani 84280, Thailand

For a more casual venue with good value mouth-watering seafood dishes for 150THB, Nong M Seafood will give you your seafood fix. Here, you get the exotic beach vibe with its tarpaulin-covered tables and bamboo seats. Go for the fried-garlic pepper fish and chili garlic prawns as their intense flavours will brand your lips forever. Their seafood curries are also a must-try.

MOR MU DONG (PHUKET)

32/9 Soi Mu Dong, Chao Fah East, Chalong (past the zoo), Phuket

Go off the beaten track and head to the local’s favourite dinner location, Mor Mu Dong. Here, you will find yourself in enchanting location filled with wooden salas overlooking the mangrove, making it a unique place to eat at. Here, the extensive menu is overwhelming but make sure to try the Pak Miang Goong Siah, green leaves with dry shrimps, and the Pla-Plao, steamed fish covered with a salt crust.

KRU SUWIT RESTAURANT (PHUKET)

Khao Kho District, Phetchabun

Adding to the allure of the location is the 5-minute longtail boat ride to the floating restaurant. When you get there, make sure to get their king prawns and local oysters. If you are thinking of splurging a bit to try something new, then try their Mantis shrimps and horseshoe crabs.
